2022 Conference Travel Information

This site contains hotels, planned conference events, and recommended food & drink options for our conference. Expect updates to this page as we get closer to the conference. These updates will include organized conference events and other relevant travel and visitor information.

Case Western Reserve University, the conference location, is located in the University Circle are of Cleveland, which is adjacent to Little Italy. Other areas of Cleveland, all accessible by train, are Ohio City (home of the West Side Market and several breweries),  and Downtown, which includes the river front area of the Flats and the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame. For cuisine options, we have tried to indicate restaurants that have outdoor or patio options, to accommodate those concerned with indoor dining.

Ride Sharing: Use this spreadsheet to coordinate ride sharing to and from the airport.

The local airport is Cleveland Hopkins International Airport. When you arrive in the airport, you can follow signs directly to the RTA train station from inside the airport. The red line train will take you to downtown and also to the Case Western Reserve University – S. Murray Hill Rd (for Tudor Arms hotel) and Little Italy-University Circle (Marriott and Glidden House) stops, which are closest to the suggested hotels. This train takes about 40 minutes and usually costs around $1.50. You do not need to book ahead. Taxis, Uber and Lyft are also available.

The RTA buses are a good option for getting from downtown to the university as well.

Cleveland also has an Amtrak Station and Greyhound Bus Station (both Downtown).

If you are driving, and wish to park on campus, parking is available for a fee in the Severance Hall parking garage off of East Blvd (at the intersection of Euclid). This garage is directly across the street from the Dittrick Medical History Center/Allen Library where the conference is located. You can view a map here.
